SHARPTON: “Joining me now is senator, us senator Tina Smith, Democrat of Minnesota. Senator, we appreciate you being with us tonight. After you spoke at a no rally earlier today in Minneapolis. Before I get to other issues, what can you tell us about your experience?”

Smith: “Well, reverend. Sharpton, I just got home a few minutes ago, and downtown Minneapolis was filled with people, all different kinds of people from all different, all different ages and backgrounds. And I would say that there was a feeling of like resoluteness and also real joy and real sense of of solidarity as, as we came together. And I honestly think the way that President Trump and some of his friends were basically trash talking, the folks that were going to show up at these, these rallies really encouraged more people to show up. There was nothing. It was it was a very patriotic feeling, lots of flags. And it gave me a real boost. I have to tell you.”
