INCIDENT REPORT — FOR REVIEW BY SUPER EARTH HIGH COMMAND

During ongoing liberation efforts against the Automatons, hostile airships initiated a concentrated strafing run on Helldiver positions. The squad maintained position under heavy fire, executing countermeasures with precision and courage.

Helldiver RubberDuck engaged aerial targets using the Recoilless Rifle, successfully neutralizing the first airship with a direct impact. During the reload sequence, RubberDuck observed Helldiver Wolf returning fire with a pistol. RubberDuck inquired, “Wolf, are you shooting that airship with your pistol?” Wolf calmly replied, “I was.” Morale across the unit increased substantially.

A second recoilless round was fired, striking the far airship in a clean hit. Said airship entered an uncontrolled descent, colliding directly with Helldiver Brasta’s position. Brasta was immediately eliminated by the resulting explosion.

RubberDuck reported verbally: “That was a damn good shot I just made… I think that damn good shot I just made killed Brasta. My bad, buddy.”

Post-action addendum: Upon review, I still think it was a better shot.

Collateral damage deemed acceptable. Mission success confirmed.
