Why Jesus Came - The Thief Comes to Steal, Kill, and Destroy

📖 “A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.” — John 10:10 (CSB)

Before we can understand the life Jesus came to give, we have to see what He came to save us from.

There’s a thief — the enemy of our souls — who comes to steal peace, kill joy, and destroy hope. But his plans can’t stand against the power of Jesus. 🙌

📖 1 Peter 5:8 — “Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.”

📖 John 8:44 — “He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.”

But here’s the good news — Jesus came to destroy everything the enemy meant for harm.

📖 1 John 3:8 — “The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.”

So if the thief has tried to steal your peace, kill your confidence, or destroy your purpose — remember, Jesus came to restore it all.
