(Come Visit) THE SUNSHINE STATE

Amazingly, Mark Horn wrote and recorded this little gem all in one day on 4/24/2025. The musical idea had been kicking around for some time, but on that magical day, the lyrics poured out rather quickly. Fortunately, Mr. Horn had a recording session booked for that night, and the rest is history. Mark played all of the live instruments and sang the background vocals.

Mark and his wife moved from the Pacific Northwest to Central Florida in the sultry summer of 2022. This song is certainly tongue-in-cheek, since they have yet to visit the everglades. They do however, enjoy an occasional alligator spotting – as well as the regular presence of other fabulous wild life – in the lake behind their house.
