Hanging With God & His People – Psalms 26+27

When I was a kid, my parents made sure I did not hang out with the bad kids in the neighborhood. They were smart enough to know that bad company leads to bad things. Solomon knew that as well. He warned his own children in the book of Prov. to be careful about the company they kept.

As Christians, we need to be careful to not allow ourselves to be drawn away from God by those around us. But we have a conflict. One the one hand, we are to be salt & light in the earth. We can't fulfill that mission if we lock ourselves away in our homes. On the other hand, Scripture clearly tells us to come out from the world and be separate. Knowing how to balance the two, and where to draw the line of association, isn't easy. Psalms 26+27 will shed some light on it.
