Ghosts Exposed are a seasonal collectible event in Grand Theft Auto Online, added as part of the continuation of the San Andreas Mercenaries update, during the Halloween Event week in 2023 and returned during the 2024 and 2025 events for a limited time.

Description
Find and photograph the Ghosts haunting Blaine County to earn cash and RP. Photograph and send them all to Ghosts Exposed to earn a bonus reward.

The player will receive an automatic text message from the Ghosts Exposed documentary team saying they signed them up for a public, paranormal photography competition with other residents of Southern San Andreas. The ten hidden ghosts must be photographed up close using Snapmatic on the phone, and must be visible in the frame. Once photographed correctly, the ghost will be counted as "collected". Getting too close to a ghost will make it disappear, but it will reappear as soon as the player distances themselves enough again.

Each ghost has a specific area – with two possible spawn points within the same area. Each ghost will be available only for one in-game hour before they disappear. After photographing 9 ghosts in any order, the final ghost will be available.

1. At the Hill Valley Church in Pacific Bluffs, either on the rooftop of the church or standing on a grave in the middle of the lake. 19:00 to 20:00
2. In an abandoned trailer on Algonquin Boulevard in Sandy Shores, to the north of the Derelict Motel. 20:00 to 21:00
3. In the western section of Fudge Lane in El Burro Heights, either on the memorial or at the top of the water tower. 21:00 to 22:00
4. Inside a wrecked bus in the desert, to the east of Maude's Trailer in Grapeseed, bordered by Senora Freeway. 22:00 to 23:00
5. At the top of Miguel Madrazo's Mansion in Vinewood Hills. 23:00 to 00:00
6. On the Raton Canyon Bridge, either on top of the tunnel entrance or in the middle of the rail bridge. 01:00 to 02:00
7. At the top of the Rockford Hills Church. 02:00 to 03:00
8. At the Hill Valley Church in Great Chaparral, either on the rooftop of the church of standing on a grave behind Little Al's grave from the mission Funeral Party. 04:00 to 05:00
9. At the derelict Starlite Motel building in front of The Lost MC Clubhouse in East Vinewood. 05:00 to 06:00
10. On the stage of the Vinewood Bowl. Requires the player to have photographed all of the previous nine ghosts in Los Santos and Blaine County. 00:00 to 01:00

Reward
After photographing all 10 ghosts, the player will receive a text message from the Ghosts Exposed team saying that all of their ghost photos look convincing enough, and the team will send some exclusive merch as a thank you. During the 2025 event the player will receive the Ghosts Exposed Cap for the 10 ghosts photographed.
