Completing the Back Doors & Tabletop Reinforcement (2x4 & Cedar Build)

The push to get this essential firewood storage cabinet fully functional before winter is almost complete! Yesterday, I mostly constructed the swinging doors to critter-proof the back. An absent-minded measuring error means they need a quick-but-crucial fix. Today, armed with a fresh batch of screws and some additional cedar and 2x4 stock, I'm diving back in.

In this ninth installment, the primary focus is getting those back doors properly secured and functional by adding a couple of stabilizing board lengths to correct yesterday's mistake. Once the back is completely sealed, I'll move on to finishing the reinforcement of the salvaged tabletop to ensure it's solid for the heavy weight and harsh weather ahead. I'll be using the chop saw and drill heavily today to wrap up this crucial winter prep project.

Thankfully yesterday's table saw jam was simply a matter of the power strip flipping its switch, so I think it'll power back up today no problem. I might have to disassemble the edge of the doors to trim them to size though.
