Hope enters a period of preparation and transformation. Three colonists, Baleche, Chacken, and Flebe, receive new xenogerms granting robust bodies, fast wound healing, and elite shooting skills. With more genetic upgrades planned, we calculate the colony’s vast resource needs for the coming starship launch. While Baleche mines gold in isolation, another colonist leaves the colony for good, and a mad rat attack provides brief comic relief. A fiery shuttle defense against imps tests Cait and Zach’s jump tactics, ending in victory. As the colony expands the freezer, builds more coolers, and hosts a joyful fiesta and leader’s speech, morale soars. By episode’s end, new gene templates are designed for Tiffy, Torres, and others, marking Hope’s next step toward creating a nearly superhuman crew.
