Lyrics for "For the Sake of Our Brother" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra (from The Lost Christmas Eve, 2004) Russell Allen Vocals
In a stable
In a manger
In the cold winter's air
In the arms of his mother
A child's lying there
In a city
In a village
Though the years have gone by
The child still remains
With the dream still close by
And each year on this night that child reawakens
And each year on this night that hope rebegins
That the dream he has offered might one day be taken
For the sake of our brother
For the child who's forgotten
For the dream that is still lying there
O' come all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O' come ye, o' come ye
To Bethlehem
Come and behold him
Born the king of angels
O' come let us adore him
O' come let us adore him
O' come let us adore him
Christ the lord
In a stable
In a manger
In the cold winter's air
In the arms of his mother
A child's lying there

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO), an awesome American rock band, was founded in 1996 by producer Paul O’Neill, uniting Savatage’s Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli with keyboardist Robert Kinkel for a fantastic creative core. TSO’s epic rock operas include Christmas Eve and Other Stories (1996), The Christmas Attic (1998), The Ghosts of Christmas Eve (1999), Beethoven’s Last Night (2000), The Lost Christmas Eve (2004), Night Castle (2009), Dreams of Fireflies (EP, 2012), and Letters from the Labyrinth (2015). Gaining fame after touring in 1999 post-The Christmas Attic, TSO has sold over 10 million albums and tickets, with outstanding shows featuring strings, lasers, and synced effects. Known for charity work and skipping clubs to play theaters, they’ve ranked among Billboard’s top 25 touring bands. In 2025, TSO continues delivering epic performances, including their Wacken 2015 collaboration with Savatage, solidifying their unique legacy.
