Noah explains how he was getting his hair cut and had the idea while looking at a magazine that highlighted celebrities and thought how backwards that was. Then in 2011 her life took a turn. She found a lump in her breast and thought because she had no family history she was “safe.” But 85% of women have no family history – it’s not a hereditary disease. Jan said she was fully asleep in 2011.

But had both breasts removed, had such an aggressive form of chemo that she was housebound for a year, was hospitalized four times in that year and even today, more than 15 years later there is residual side effects because of how devastating the treatment was.
