Rick Hill talks with Darren about how he grew up in a broken household, and his mother had raised him in a Detroit neighborhood. His mother took him to a Billy Graham crusade when he was about seven-years-old and his mom told him he was transfixed by Billy Graham.

Rick remembers Billy saying, “if you want to see Jesus you need to come forward and give your life to Christ.” Rick said he stood up, left the balcony seating and went forward with no fear. His mom asked, “why weren’t you afraid to go up there?” Rick said, “Jesus was supposed to be there because Billy said and accept Jesus so he went.”

Rick went to college and seminary, graduated and became a principal of a Christian Day School and one summer he didn’t feel good, went to a doctor and was sent to the Mayo clinic. Once there Rick was told he had cancer throughout his body – from his feet to his neck – and was given only months to live. He underwent eight hours of “exploratory surgery” and kept cutting until they found cancer everywhere.

You’ll hear how Rick left the Mayo Clinic, took his health into his own hands and here he is today – 50 years later surviving and thriving!
