Trump Warns About Sending Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine: “The United States Needs Them Too”

During a recent statement, President Donald Trump was asked what would happen if the United States authorizes sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine and later finds itself in conflict and in need of them. Trump responded that this is precisely the problem, emphasizing that “we need Tomahawks and many other things that we’ve been sending to Ukraine over the past four years.”

The president explained that much of the military equipment is now being sent to the European Union, “which pays for it and has plenty of money,” but he insisted that the U.S. also needs those weapons. “One of the reasons we want to end this war is that it’s not easy for us to provide massive amounts of very powerful weapons,” he said.

Trump expressed optimism about the direction of the negotiations: “Hopefully, they won’t need them. Hopefully, we can end the war without thinking about Tomahawks. I think we’re on the right track, and we’re pretty close to that.”
