BAIER: “Meredith, the president is saying it was very interesting and cordial, but he wants to stop the killing and make a deal. What about today?”

McGRAW: “You know, I was there in the cabinet room when President Trump and president Zelenskyy met. There was definitely a warmer feeling than we have seen in past meetings. I do think there is a real sense inside the White House that there is some momentum, especially after the Gaza ceasefire. But you know, there are still so many sticking points. Zelenskyy was hoping to get more security guarantees and perhaps tomahawk missiles. But that certainly seemed to change when President Trump spoke with Putin yesterday. I think we are looking ahead to this potential meeting with Putin and Trump and potentially Zelenskyy in budapest. But it seems a lot needs to be decided before then. But there is a real sense of optimism and momentum following what we saw in the Middle East.”
