Production of up to 8 units per year is expected on this assembly line, which has become the third within this program.
It is reported that the Tejas Mk1A has not yet formally entered service and still has to undergo a series of tests, including the integration of a new radar, onboard systems, and armament.

In the images, it can be seen flying alongside a Sukhoi Su-30MKI and an HTT-40 trainer of the Indian Air Force. From them, the reason why the HAL Tejas project is part of the LCA program - light combat aircraft - becomes very evident.
