God's Not Dead is the fifteenth studio album by the Christian rock band Newsboys, released on 15 November 2011. It is the second full-length album featuring lead singer Michael Tait, who joined the band in 2010 after Peter Furler's departure.The album marked a shift in the band's sound, adopting a sleek, synth-driven style with big choruses and celebratory lyrics, described as a true rebirth for the group.
The album includes twelve tracks, with the title track "God's Not Dead (Like a Lion)" serving as the lead single, originally written by Daniel Bashta.
This single was certified Gold by the RIAA and became a major hit, contributing to the album's success.The album reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Christian Albums chart and also peaked at No. 45 on the Billboard 200. As of 10 July 2014, it had sold 428,000 copies.
