MZTV 1844: Was Jesus Prophesying Concerning 70 AD or Today?

In Matthew 24, our Lord prophesies concerning "the conclusion of the eon" (Matthew 24:3). That's definitive, isn't it? As far as I can tell the eon is still ongoing, yes? Yet there are those known as "Preterists" (not even sure what the term itself means) who think Jesus is prophesying concerning the Roman army destroying Jerusalem in 70 AD—as though THAT could possibly be the end of Eon 3, and as though that could possibly be the fulfillment of the very graphic and unprecedented divine phenomena described in gory detail in Revelation.

Now, why would anyone think anything as ridiculous as this? The Preterists are forced into it because they can't get past Matthew 24:34 from the tragically mistranslated King James Version: "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."

If that's what Jesus actually said, I can sorta (but not really) see their point.

That is not what our Lord said, however. It's not until next week that I tell you what He DID say (as recorded in an accurate translation, namely, the Concordant Literal New Testament), but today I'm building up to it. I just thought you should know that the entire Preterist viewpoint, including the belief that all the events of Revelation are in the past, including the belief that the second coming of Christ (not the first, but the second) happened 2,000 years ago, is based on two tragic mistakes: 1) believing the KJV mistranslation of Matthew 24:34, and 2) ignorance concerning the unprophesied time period—the "administration of the secret (Ephesians 3:9), also known as "the era of the nations" (Luke 21:24) that has intervened between the two comings of Christ.

Until then, enjoy learning about how the Circumcision gospel will be heralded throughout all the nations at the end of the eon, and how the most comprehensive and energetic Christian evangelism programs today have absolutely nothing to do with it.
