ICE Busts Illegal Immigrants Posing as ICE Agents in Chicago
By Michael Baxter -October 16, 2025
Illegal aliens in Chicago desperately trying to duck entanglements with ICE had found an unlikely ally: commercially available attire that mimics garb worn by immigration agents—tactical vests emblazoned with American flags and Velcro tags that say “POLICE. ICE”; realistic-looking badges and ballcaps bearing the “ICE” logo; dark sunglasses, gas masks, and face coverings; and even airsoft guns that, at a distance, are indistinguishable from ICE’s less-than-lethal pepper ball rifles. Regalia purchased from Amazon and ETSY, or sewn by seamstresses, illegal aliens too, in overcrowded, multigenerational, rat-infested, rent-controlled apartments. But last week they, and illegals cosplaying as ICE, started getting busted.
According to Thomas Pearman, a liaison to ICE Czar Tom Homan, illegal scum in Chicago’s Pilson and Little Village neighborhoods began masquerading as ICE officers in early September, around the time the Department of Homeland Security accelerated its commitment to rid America of undesirables. The illegals, Pearman said, got the idea from Gen-Z YouTube pranksters who had bought imitation ICE jackets and terrorized illegals at Home Depots and spots frequented by freeloading day laborers. In one, pranksters zip-tied an illegal immigrant to the steering wheel of what turned out to be a stolen truck and told him they were taking him to Alligator Alcatraz. At least a dozen YouTubers and TicTokers have been arrested for impersonating law enforcement since ICE began cracking down on illegal aliens.
“They thought they could flip the script, pose us as, and some did, but not for long,” Pearman said.
He admitted that on October 3, two illegals wearing convincing ICE gear tested their mettle by brazenly embedding themselves in an ICE raid at a bodega in downtown Chicago. The six legitimate officers, who all wore face masks to conceal their identities, were oblivious to the impostors who functionally assisted ICE because the store’s owners were members of a rival gang.
A similar situation occurred two days later. Three ICE agents armed with a judicial warrant were in hot pursuit, on foot, of Diego Aguayo, a Mexican who had been expelled from the US three times, when a fourth masked agent joined the foot chase and tackled Aguayo to the ground. That the mysterious fourth agent barely spoke English didn’t faze the ICE agents; they congratulated him, and the group high-fived one another.
Pearman said, “It wasn’t an anomaly. A lot of recently hired ICE agents are Hispanics born in the United States or naturalized citizens. Obviously, we need bilingual speakers. Illegal criminals know it, and they’ve exploited it. Same deal. That person disappeared and we didn’t know who he was.”
On October 12, though, ICE officers performing a mass arrest of illegal aliens in Lincoln Park were confronted by four other supposed officers, all wearing gas masks and claiming they had already detained illegal aliens in the vicinity, even though dozens of non-English speakers and their children were frolicking about. Of the four, Pearman said, only one spoke decent English, barely audible through his chemical mask. “No, no, no illegals here, we ICE, Nosotros federales como tú,” the bilingual man said, inadvertently alternating between English and Spanish. “You go home, Ya los atrapamos.”
The real agents, Pearman said, realized something was amiss and scrutinized the fake agents’ attire, realizing they had plastic badges and guns.
“It was a smoking gun. Our guys understood what was going on and detained the fraudsters at the Broadview detainment center. As all cowards do, they buckled under interrogation,” Pearman said.
ICE learned that approximately 500 illegal aliens in Chicago had acquired imitation gear and fraudulent credentials, and that four illegal females living in West Garfield Park, the city’s most dangerous area, had embroidered tags for the fake agents’ uniforms.
On October 14, ICE raided their apartments, arresting the culprits and seizing evidence. The terrified women, Pearman said, gave up the names and locations of 75 Mexicans and Venezuelans who had been pretending to be ICE employees. That evening, ICE stormed residences in Washington Park, South Shore, West Englewood, Grand Crossing, Pilson, and Little Village, and arrested known illegals, rapists among them, who had avoided capture for years.
“We don’t got them all yet,” Pearman said, “but we have a good idea where they are. As that saying goes, they can run but they can’t hide. We’ll get ’em all.”
