Dr. Paul Marik: “There Is No Question That Shedding Is a Real Thing”

Dr. Paul Marik, a critical care physician and former chair of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, has stated that "there is no question that shedding is a real thing".

He has expressed concern that individuals who have recently received an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine may transmit spike proteins through close contact, including via exhaled exosomes, which could potentially be inhaled by others.

Marik has also suggested that spike proteins can be present in biological fluids such as spermatozoa, describing the amount found as "truly astonishing".

He has cited anecdotal evidence of unvaccinated individuals developing symptoms after intimate contact with a recently vaccinated partner, suggesting a possible transmission mechanism.

These claims are part of a broader discussion promoted by the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), which Marik co-leads, and are based on the concept that components of the mRNA vaccine, including the spike protein and lipid nanoparticles, may be shed from vaccinated individuals.
