I share my own perspective, along with what I’m seeing from the TIC crew and other long time visitors. Fewer people are choosing Soi Cowboy, and more are moving on to other areas like Nana Plaza, Soi 7, Soi 11, or even different cities like Pattaya and Phuket. Whether it’s rising prices, changing energy, or just better options elsewhere, Soi Cowboy isn’t what it used to be.

Pro tip: Don’t just rely on old travel advice. Nightlife areas in Thailand evolve, and what was once the hotspot can fade fast. Always go where the energy is, not where the reputation used to be.
