The Watchers’ Song — Psalm 24 Fulfilled

Psalm 24:7-10 - "Lift up your heads, O ye gates..."
Early Fathers (Ephrem, Cyril, Augustine, Ambrose) taught this was sung by the angelic Watchers at the heavenly gates when Christ ascended.
"Watchers" = angelic sentinels from Daniel 4; the
gates = the entrances of heaven (cf. Eph 4:8; 1 Pet 3:18-22).
