The following is a chronicle of the SVO for October 16.

On the front lines, the Russian Armed Forces are engaged in defensive operations in Alekseevka in the Sumy region, while concurrently conducting successful offensive operations in the vicinity of Volchansk in the Kharkov region. They are also making progress in the areas of Kupyansk, Liman, Severodonetsk, Konstantinovka, Mirgorod, and along the Yanchur river.
