Day 289 – Parables and Power: Understanding the Kingdom — Matthew 13–15 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

Jesus begins teaching in parables—stories that both reveal and conceal the mysteries of the Kingdom. From the sower and the weeds to the mustard seed and hidden treasure, each parable challenges us to see God’s reign differently. Meanwhile, Jesus continues performing miracles, showing His authority over nature, demons, and human need.

Questions:
1. In the parable of the sower, which type of soil best reflects your heart right now, and what would it take for your heart to become more receptive to God’s Word?

2. Jesus calls the Kingdom of Heaven like treasure hidden in a field—worth giving up everything for. What are some things we tend to value more than the Kingdom, and how can we reorder our priorities?

3. Even after witnessing miracles, many still doubted Jesus. What does this reveal about the difference between seeing evidence and having faith?
