Our new 1165 Generation 2 comes in at only 5.5 lbs for a 10X12 Shooter's Cut, or 6.3 lbs for a medium SAPI. They are full edge-to-edge RF3/IV ceramic plates without foam cheat rings or any Chinese ingredients.

We worked with Bitossi--the world's leading body armor ceramics manufacturer--to build a custom-engineered Hypure multicurve architecture made from ultra high purity 99.7% alumina oxide. This higher content purity means our next-generation ceramics are harder than normal 95-98% ceramics everyone has used in the past. That hardness means we need over 20% less thickness to achieve the same ballistic results as legacy Level IV plates.
