A smuggler in a blue Cadillac led TxDPS Troopers on a high-speed pursuit in Webb Co. The Trooper performed a PIT maneuver, bringing the chase to a safe stop.

The driver, Ivan Israel Rodriguez of Laredo, was arrested for evading arrest and 2 counts of smuggling of persons after Troopers found 2 illegal immigrants from Guatemala inside the vehicle. Both were referred to USBP.
