The Russian military has been engaged in endeavors to broaden the foundation of the Dobropolsky breakthrough through the utilization of assaults by substantial mechanized contingents of the Russian Armed Forces.

Subsequent to a breakthrough in Vladimirovka, a column of armored vehicles was formed. This column consisted of a couple of T-80BVM tanks and 9-10 BTR-82A. The column's objective was to break through to the next village, Shakovo.

According to the evidence presented in the published footage, the column was first detected by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at a distance of 15-20 kilometers from the front line. At this point, the UAVs allowed the column to advance closer to the front line before initiating artillery and drone attacks.

In an effort to mitigate the impact of Ukrainian FPV drones, a pre-set observation position strategy was employed. Small groups of individuals on motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) were instructed to take positions along the future route of the column. Their mission was to use gunfire to attack Ukrainian drones, thereby preventing them from mining the road and attacking the vehicles.

However, due to the relatively favorable weather conditions and the effective execution of reconnaissance operations, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to uncover the entire offensive plan in advance, effectively thwarting the mechanized column's intended advance. The majority of the vehicles were destroyed along the way. This finding lends further credence to the hypothesis that substantial mechanized breakthroughs under typical conditions are either practically unfeasible at present or are accomplished with significant casualties among personnel and equipment.
