We took a drive around Chincoteague Island, VA a day after an unnamed October nor’easter swept through the Eastern Shore. While the storm didn’t bring much rain, it pushed in high tides, flooded marshes, and left standing water on roads near the bay.

But even with the storm’s impact, we found the charm still alive: boats at the marina, active tour boats, fishermen, Halloween decorations, vibrant fall flowers, and a stop at our favorite lunch spot on the island.

This video captures the beauty, resilience, and everyday life on Chincoteague in the wake of a nor’easter.
