📖 Romans 4: Abraham Justified by Faith—Not by Works ✝ 🕊

In Romans 4, Paul uses the example of Abraham to show that justification has always been by faith—not works, not circumcision, and not the law.

Abraham was declared righteous before he was circumcised. Why? So that he could be the father of all who believe—Jew and Gentile alike. Paul also brings in David, who celebrates the blessing of forgiveness.

This chapter is a beautiful reminder: we don’t earn God’s favor—we believe Him, and He counts it as righteousness.

🔹 Abraham Believed God – And it was credited as righteousness (v. 3)
🔹 Not by Works – But by faith alone (vv. 4–8)
🔹 Before Circumcision – So all could be included (vv. 9–12)
🔹 The Promise by Faith – Not through the law (vv. 13–17)
🔹 Fully Convinced – Trusting God to do the impossible (vv. 18–25)

We see Jesus as the one who was delivered for our trespasses and raised for our justification. Our faith is in Him—the same kind of faith Abraham had.
