While there are no signs that the government shutdown will end any time soon, President Trump and his administration have rearranged funds to keep Americans paid and fed.

Trump directed Sec. of War Pete Hegseth to pay troops today with about $8 billion of untouched, existing federal funds.

The Trump administration also put $300 million into the food aid program, known as WIC, to ensure low-income mothers and children are taken care of.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson backed Trump up on paying the troops as he said, “If the Democrats want to go to court and challenge troops being paid, bring it.”
