The ancient Greeks contrasted mythos with logos as two opposing ways of understanding and explaining the world.
Mythos (μῦθος), meaning "story," "narrative," "tale," "..." can be subjective and uses a framework based on combinations of myths, true stories, and inference.
Logos (λόγος), meaning "word," "reason," "principle" "..." is objective and uses a framework based on rational, analytical, or factual explanation.
