If there has ever been a time to pay attention to the thinking of Vladmir Putin, it is now. Alexander Dugin, in a recent discussion, outlined how his thinking has been evolving over time, establishing a philosophy of complexity that is informed by the vagaries and unpredictability hard wired into quantum physics. Accordingly, the emergence of a multipolar world order is not a linear process, neither is 21st century warfare where drones and AI systems are reshaping battlefronts, military doctrine, and the way wars are fought. Meanwhile, the Pentagon has been rebranded, from Defence department to Department of War. Is it only for postmodern narrative purposes, or is this linguistic/terminological shift a harbinger of more US imperial wars to come? And, on that topic, Venezuela seems to be right in the cross-hairs of the rebranded War Department, as the so-called counter narcotics strikes may very well be a flimsy cover for regime change war to come. With the Venezuelan opposition leader nominated for a Nobel Peace prize, which she then dedicated to the grand Don, Mr MAGA Trump, it is possible to say that where there is smoke there is fire. And, meanwhile, it has been revealed that US intel and related support has been enabling long-range Ukrainian attacks in Russia, with the spectre of allowing the use of long range US weapons to strike inside Russia still haunting the unfolding non-linear frontlines of Phase 4 of WWIII…
