“Shut Up!” – Pelosi Explodes When Asked Why She Rejected Trump’s National Guard Request on Jan. 6th

D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), October 15, 2025 — Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lost her temper Wednesday when Lindell TV reporter Allison Steinberg pressed her on whether she blocked the National Guard requested by President Trump before the events of January 6, 2021.

“Shut up!” Pelosi shouted, jabbing her finger in Steinberg’s face as cameras rolled.

Steinberg’s question was direct: “Are you concerned the new January 6th Committee will find you liable for refusing the National Guard requested by President Trump?”

Pelosi snapped back, yelling, “Shut up! I did not refuse the National Guard — the president didn’t send it! Why are you coming here with Republican talking points as if you’re a serious journalist?”

Unshaken, Steinberg replied, “The American people want to know — we still have questions.”

The fiery exchange underscores how politically explosive the topic remains. Pelosi’s reaction came just days after President Trump, during his second inaugural address, reminded the public that Pelosi’s own daughter filmed her admitting responsibility for not having the Guard prepared on Jan. 6.

In that footage, Pelosi can be heard saying, “Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with? I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more.”

Trump has repeatedly asserted that he offered 10,000 troops to secure the Capitol, only to have the request dismissed. “J6 wouldn’t be J6,” Trump said. “But she rebuffed them. She’s guilty as hell. They destroyed all the evidence.”

Congressional oversight documents released last year back Trump’s account, showing that Pentagon leaders prioritized “optics” over readiness despite Trump’s instructions to ensure peace and safety on Jan. 6.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), chair of the House Subcommittee on Oversight, criticized the Defense Department’s handling of the issue:

“President Trump directed senior Pentagon leaders to make sure any events on January 6 were safe. It’s very concerning that they ignored his guidance and misled Congress to protect themselves.”

Now, as a new Jan. 6 Committee reopens the investigation, Pelosi’s outburst suggests she may fear the findings ahead.
