Communities cut off after 'worst flooding in decades' hits North Island

Residents of Ruapehu and Waitomo say they're experiencing some of the worst flooding in decades. Civil Defence continues to fix slips amid dozens of road closures after an emergency was declared across the region on Tuesday. Some communities like Õhura and Matiere remain cut off but well-prepared to sit out floods that remain up to a metre deep
