Russian "light fighters" based on Yakovlev Yak-52 and Cessna 172 aircraft to counter Ukrainian drones.

The "Cessnas" are equipped with a pair of PKT machine guns under the fuselage with a complete guidance and aiming system. In turn, the "Yaks" are used as in Ukraine with a gunner in the cabin armed with automatic weapons.

In the future, the aircraft will be equipped with interceptor drones that will be attached under the wings.
Pilots report good cooperation with ground air defense to avoid friendly fire, and they try to shoot down Ukrainian drones over water to minimize ground damage caused by falling debris.
