Carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere have reached the highest ever recorded, potentially further warming the planet and leading to more extreme climate events, a new report published on Wednesday (October 15) by the World Meteorological Organization found. "Every single molecule which is emitted in the atmosphere will have a global impact," Oksana Tarasova, WMO senior scientific officer, told a briefing in Geneva.Â
