Trump: Charlie was a champion in every way

President Donald Trump paid tribute to Charlie Kirk, whom he described as “a champion in every way,” during an emotional ceremony where he posthumously awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States.

Trump praised Kirk’s courage and faith, stating that he was “assassinated in the prime of his life for boldly speaking the truth and fighting for a better and stronger America.”

The president called his death “a horrible, heinous, and demonic act of murder,” and remembered his unwavering commitment to freedom and to the country he deeply loved. “Our nation was robbed of this extraordinary champion,” Trump concluded.
