Stellantis Moves the Jeep Compass to the U.S. — Canada Panics Over One Model

A single car model leaving Canada was enough to trigger panic at the highest political levels.

The Brampton, Ontario plant was retooled specifically for the Jeep Compass — but Stellantis has now moved that production to the U.S. as part of a 13 billion-dollar investment south of the border.

Prime Minister Mark Carney personally released a public letter to reassure workers and promise action in his upcoming budget.

But what does this really mean?
