"Inner healing is teaming up with God to find those hurts through the
leading of Holy Spirit, letting go of our wrong beliefs, and replacing
them with His truth—like knowing you’re loved and valued." L. Nafus

Part 2 of 4 Promises You Made to Yourself (aka inner vows): After getting
hurt, you might say, “I’ll never trust anyone again!” to protect yourself.
Those promises can keep you stuck, even if you forget making them.

Definition: "An inner vow is basically a promise or decision you make deep inside
yourself, often after getting hurt, to protect your heart from more pain.
It's saying to yourself, "I'll never let that happen again!" or "I won't trust
anyone anymore” or “I will always do xyz.” We make these vows
when we're young—usually—maybe after a betrayal, rejection, or
traumatic experience—and we usually forget we made them." L. Nafus

Scripture vss:
Job 22:28 “You will decide & decree a thing and it shall come to pass.” Another version says, “What you decide to do will succeed.”

Eze 36:26 "heart of stone"

Proverbs 4:23 "Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."

2 Cor 5:17 "The old has gone, the new is here!"

Ezekiel 11:19 God wants to "remove the heart of stone... and
give them a heart of flesh."

Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 Better not to vow than to make one and not keep it.

Matthew 5:37: Let your yes be yes.

Inner healing for vows and a stony heart involves:
1. Identify the Vow: Ask God to reveal it. Sarah prayed, "Show me
where I promised myself this."
2. Renounce the Vow: Declare it broken. Like, "I cancel my vow to
never rely on anyone—it's not Yours, God."
3. Forgive and Release: Forgive those who hurt you (her dad) and
release the pain.
4. Ask for Heart Softening: Pray for God to remove the stone, as
in Ezekiel 36:26.
5. Replace with Truth: Invite God's promises, like "I'll never leave
you or forsake you" from Hebrews 13:5.

Process of healing
1. Confess and Renounce: "God, I made this vow [name it, e.g.,
'never to trust']. I renounce it as sin—it's not from You."
2. Forgive Involved Parties (be specific): "I forgive [person] for
the hurt that led to this."
3. Ask Forgiveness: "Forgive me for tying myself up this way."
4. Pray for Softening: "Remove my heart of stone, give me a heart
of flesh. Soften me to feel Your love, God.”
5. Receive Truth: "Fill me with Your promises—I am safe in You
(Psalm 46:1)."
6. Declare Freedom: Thank God and act on it, like trying openness
in a small way.

Christian Talk Story w/ Sister Dar is a show where we share the goodness of the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives. Founding Bible verse: "We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done" Psalm 78:4

Apostles' Creed:
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen
