Let’s talk about one of the most underrated and suppressed tools for cancer prevention and healing: vitamin D.

We’ve been told that 1,000 iU a day is “enough.”
But when it comes to immune function, inflammation, and cell regulation—especially in the context of cancer—that dose barely scratches the surface.

Vitamin D is not just a vitamin.
It’s a prohormone that regulates the expression of over 2,000 genes—many of which are directly involved in immune surveillance and cancer protection.
Studies have shown that vitamin D deficiency is common in cancer patients, and deficiency is strongly linked to increased risk of breast, colon, prostate, pancreatic, and other cancers.

Here’s what they’re not telling you:

Therapeutic levels often require supplementation between 10,000–40,000 iU/day, especially when correcting severe deficiencies.

One study (Heaney, 2011) concluded that daily intake of 40,000 iU was well below the toxicity threshold and necessary for some to reach optimal blood levels.
Another analysis published in Anticancer Research emphasized that serum levels between 70–100 ng/mL were ideal for reducing cancer risk—not the outdated “normal” range of 30–50 ng/mL.
