Trump draws praise from more than just MAGA as Israeli hostages return home

President Donald Trump is receiving rare bipartisan praise for brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which included the release of 20 hostages.

Speaking before the Knesset in Jerusalem and en route to a peace summit in Egypt, Trump’s success is being hailed as a major foreign policy achievement of his second term.

Former GOP rivals Nikki Haley and Mike Pence, who once criticized Trump’s foreign policy, commended his steadfast support for Israel and his pursuit of peace.

Some Democrats, including Rep. Jared Moskowitz and Sen. John Fetterman, also lauded the ceasefire as a breakthrough moment, Politico has reported.

However, the celebration comes amid domestic strife, as Trump faces backlash over a prolonged government shutdown and economic uncertainty at home.
