At least coffee 84, or There were elections, but will there be a government?
The voters have made their decision and rightly expect politicians to abide by it. Especially a certain Petr Pavel, also known as Agent Pávek. But it is precisely at this moment that it becomes clear who is really in charge at Prague Castle. It is his friend, known as Kolář. And PePa is jumping around exactly according to his instructions. It goes without saying that he will appoint the government only after the current government has submitted its resignation. It is also clear that the government can only submit its resignation after the new Chamber of Deputies has been established. What is not so clear, however, are the conditions for the appointment of a new government, which are unacceptable in advance. The decision will be made based on documents from the government's statement. Which, of course, is not so clear, because the government only makes its statement after its appointment when requesting a vote of confidence from the Chamber of Deputies. So "A" makes "B" conditional, thereby excluding it at the same time. It is absolutely clear what is at stake in this game. The aim is to cause the new coalition to fall out and bring the outgoing government back into play. After all, we cannot allow certain people and certain parties to hold government positions. That could jeopardize the interests of certain groups. And not just Ukrainian ones.
There is currently a lot of speculation that the president does not want to appoint Babiš as prime minister. But what is overlooked is the fact that he cannot appoint him. According to our constitution. But he can entrust him with forming a government. Which is a significant difference. But he does not want to do that either. The reasons are clear. To delay and delay, according to Dr. Plzák's well-known motto, "deny, deny." And to do everything to prevent this government from being formed. Mainly by looking for reasons why we cannot accept this or that person in this or that ministry.
At that time, strange voices appear. Apparently, under certain conditions, members of the previous government could support the new government. It is crystal clear what those conditions would be. They would be conditions that Babiš could not accept or that would make it impossible for him to stand before the electorate.
At the moment, a battle is raging over a person named Turek. Inquisitive journalists have apparently discovered something deep in the social networks. Something that should no longer be there, because it should have been deleted. And according to descriptions on the internet, this deletion should have been as thorough as if it had been carried out by royal acid. So there should be nothing anywhere. That is why it seems strange that this something could have appeared. The chairing party of the victorious party is trying to form a new government and has also led the dispute with Turek. The accusation was supposed to concern him. According to the latest reports, Babiš's position has not changed and he intends to continue negotiating his government. Which is, of course, important. If Turek were to fall, an attack aimed directly at Babiš could be expected.
However, the Provincial Assembly is in session and seats are being allocated to individuals. Following the example set by the previous assembly, the current majority has relegated the Pirate Party to the role of mere observers and has not allowed them a single seat among the presiding members of the Assembly. A similar fate befell the TOP0.9 and Black Wizards parties. So only ANO, ODS, STAN, and Motorists will be at the head of the Assembly, subject only to Okamura of the SPD.
And the supreme leader of ANO, after the president still refuses to entrust him with forming a government, is preparing the future government's program in cooperation with others. Let us all hope that the end of the negotiations will bring another desirable government in accordance with the will of the voters. And as they say in church circles: May God help us in this.
And I hope that we will still enjoy our coffee.
