Stormy Day on the Holston River

A Stormy Day but we caught several quality fish on our Holston River kayak trip! James and iIboth landed 18" smallmouth and I got a BIG 28" catfish that put my Kistler Helium Rod and reel to the test! The rain and storms moved in about 10 am and stayed until about 1 or 2 and I caught smallmouth after smallmouth the whole time! Our Thomas Custom Painted Lures in Skywalker and BAMbino were without a doubt the baits of the day! i caught a few on the Ned Rig and swimbaits but our crankbaits did the work!
