Why Ryan Murphy Keeps Turning Serial Killers Into Heartthrobs Netflix Monster Ed Gein Story

Hey Yall, it’s NWO Sparrow here, and today I’m calling out Ryan Murphy — not for making dark true crime shows (fine), but for how he sexualizes real-life serial killers, especially the men whose victims’ families should never see their abusers as sexy or people to empathize with.

We keep seeing the same pattern: take a guy like Ed Gein — in reality a short, awkward, deeply disturbed dude — and cast someone like Charlie Hunnam: tall, conventionally handsome, charismatic. That choice isn’t innocent. It’s a marketing play. It turns monsters into movie stars so women and gay men online drool over them , even joking they wish they’d been victims. That’s grotesque.

These stories don’t need empathy for the killers. They need respect for the victims. The families of those murdered don’t need their killers romanticized for clicks and subscriptions. Murphy can tell these stories , but casting choices should reflect who these people were, not who he thinks will sell best or spark obsession.

I break down the Ed Gein casting in Monster: The Ed Gein Story, how Murphy has done this with Dahmer and Menendez too, and why we need to talk about it #edgein #netflixmonster #ryanmurphy #netflix #movienews #tvnews #nwosparrow #nwonews
