XBox Game Pass Dug its Own Grave — $30 Ultimate Slop

Alright boys, pour one out—Xbox Game Pass just dug its own grave. What started in 2017 as the best deal in gaming has now turned into a $30 “Ultimate Slop” subscription that’s basically half the price of a brand-new AAA game. Back in the day you got cheap access to day-one releases, EA Play, Call of Duty, and a ton of great games. Now? Microsoft’s giving us renamed tiers nobody asked for, taking features away, and hiding the fact that console players are getting completely shafted.

I break down the new “Essential, Premium, Ultimate” mess, what’s included, what’s missing, and why everyone’s canceling their subs right now. Spoiler: 90% of the library is still shovelware nobody cares about. We’ll also talk about how this compares to Netflix-style greed, and why the community is not having it.

If you’re on PC, you might still squeeze a little value, but console players? Yikes. Xbox really killed their best product.
