The Study
Here is what Henry Ford stated when The HighWire reached out to them for comment about the study:

“This report was not published because it did not meet the rigorous scientific standards we demand as a premier medical research institution. Data has consistently shown vaccinations are a safe and effective way to protect children against potentially life-altering diseases.”

And here is what Henry Ford has stated publicly about the study.

In 2016, journalist Del Bigtree issued a challenge to the head of infectious disease at one of the most prestigious medical institutions in the world: conduct the most thorough vaxxed vs. unvaxxed study that has ever been done. The expert took up the challenge and ran the study to prove Del wrong. That study never saw the light of day... until now.

"Henry Ford Health denounces claim that the system has suppressed research and warns of dangerous viral disinformation and misinformation"
September 26, 2025
#henryford.com/news/2025/09/vaccine-study-henry-ford-health
Henry Ford Health, a nationally recognized academic medical center and research institution, has issued a cease-and-desist letter to the makers of an upcoming "documentary" falsely and dangerously claiming that the health care system suppressed a draft research paper based on its findings. The health system also condemns the deliberate distortion of information and the spread of disinformation on the subject, which poses a direct threat to public health.

There are many factors that determine whether a research paper should be submitted for review by scientific journals or otherwise shared with the public. In this case, a draft of a 2020 paper that aimed to compare health outcomes for vaccinated and unvaccinated children was immediately put on hold during the first internal peer review due to serious issues with the data and methodology. These mistakes included:
• The sample of unvaccinated patients differed greatly from the vaccinated sample, with more men, more white children, fewer premature births, and less shortness of breath at birth.
• The unvaccinated sample was very small compared to the vaccinated sample.
• The time in which the occurrence of the disease was measured was much shorter in the unvaccinated children. A quarter were only followed up to six months of age, and 75% were only followed until age 3, which means before doctors can confidently diagnose chronic childhood illnesses.
• The draft compared several vaccines with no vaccines and not with a specific vaccine with no vaccines. The number of vaccines and the time between vaccination and the onset of the disease were not taken into account.
• Vaccination recommendations have changed over time, but this has not been taken into account.
The draft was never considered for submission to journals because it didn't come close to meeting the rigorous scientific standards that the system requires — the same standards that journals have. Claims that Henry Ford Health concealed or suppressed the results from the public for political reasons are patently false, defamatory, and disturbing; It is important for the public to know the truth, as this can lead families to make health decisions based on unfounded and false assumptions.

Henry Ford Health did not know that this rejected and unvalidated draft from the early COVID era had somehow been shared or discussed, and the health care system never had the opportunity to comment on the issue. Since the design was passed on without the knowledge of the system, there is reason to believe that it was modified from its original form and designed to appear finished, which was not the case.

In addition, this flawed paper is now also being mistakenly associated with a long-term NIH-funded research cohort at Henry Ford Health. The disinformation spread on social media is dangerous because it aims to sow doubt about the legitimacy of ongoing research. The health care system urges anyone who comes across content about this discredited conscription to recognize that it is being used as a weapon.

Henry Ford Health believes in research based on irrefutable data and methods, and will never compromise these standards.

Our arrangement of two pieces from the Renaissance: "Der grimmig Tod" and the "Hoboeckentanz". The melody of "Grimmig Tod" is based on the Lansquenet song "Pavierton", which is about a battle of Pavia (1525). The tune was widespread in the 16th century, and numerous secular and spiritual song lyrics were sung after it. There is a speculation that the text could have been written by the Lutheran monastery preacher and provost in Stuttgart, Dr. Balthasar Bidembach (1533–1578). It was first printed in the Paderborn hymnal (1617).
The "Hoboeckentanz" is by the Franco-Flemish composer Tielman Susato, who also lived in the 16th century.
