Suspect who stabbed himself and a woman is fatally shot inside a Dollar General Store

Youngstown, OH - The Mahoning County Coroner's Office identified the man as 50-year-old Shane Linderman. An autopsy was conducted at the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Dollar General store in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue in Youngstown. According to a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) representative, they arrived to the scene around 6:45 p.m.

Police said Linderman stabbed himself along with another woman there. When police got to the scene, the female victim had a severe stab wound and was unresponsive.

Linderman was shot by an officer and then died at the scene. Meanwhile, the female is in critical condition at the hospital.
