Drawing Suki in 3 Art Styles (Avatar: The Last Airbender & Comics) | Art Study

Just Recently read the Avatar: The Last Airbender Comics and just had to draw my favorite Character, Suki. But was also a bit annoyed how the more recent comics treated our girl. Not just her story, but also the Artwork.

Figured this would be a great practice piece or Drawing Study since it was just simple portraits, but also drawing in 3 different styles felt like a worthwhile challenge. The Original Show style still feels like the easiest to draw, but I think the Early comics have a more polished look to them, while still keeping that Avatar Style. The current comics.... some are good, some shouldn't exist. And sadly, "Suki, Alone" is one of those that i could do without having read. "Azula in the Spirit Temple" and "Ashes of the Academy" are pretty good though, and the characters (Azula, Zuko and Mai) look great given the new Art Style, but the background characters still look terribly bland.

(Zuko was one of the few characters in the first set of comics where his style didn't really look too great, surprisingly. Looking much better in the new Art Style.)

Anyways. I had a lot of fun drawing this. My Artwork isn't nearly as good as the official artists, but i hope it helped show the difference in styles between Show and Comics. I did a couple practice attempts in my Dollar store sketchbook, and of course i think they turned out better, but didn't record it haha. More practice, More consistency!

I'd love to get feedback and Tips if yall have any. THANKS FOR WATCHING!
