God made animal sacrifice a prefiguring – a typological prophecy – of the perfect and final sacrifice of Himself, Jesus Christ, for all our sins:

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood Jesus Christ entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us" (Hebrews 9:12).

The Christian Bible alone reveals and explains the truth of our corrupted and condemned state, and the only solution, Jesus Christ and His Cross.
