BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Robbinsville, New Jersey, completed in 2023 after nearly a decade of construction by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, is one of the largest Hindu mandir complexes outside India, spanning about 183 acres.

The main Mahamandir measures roughly 255 feet wide, 345 feet long, and 191 feet high, built from over 2 million cubic feet of intricately hand-carved limestone, marble, granite, and sandstone sourced from around the world.

More than 12,500 volunteers contributed millions of hours to assemble over 10,000 statues and ornate carvings reflecting ancient Vedic architectural principles.

Designed without steel reinforcement, the temple relies on interlocking stone construction for longevity and incorporates sustainable features such as natural ventilation and water recycling systems.

The complex serves as both a spiritual center and an architectural tribute to traditional Indian craftsmanship and cultural unity.
