Lyrics:
Me and my baby would jump in the Chevy
Going along out to the river
And if we ended up in our skivies
It was no big biggie to the fishes and us

'Cause at that time, we didn't know it
But those days fairy tales are made from
You could paint it in a portrait
A postcard of a picture perfect life

A snapshot from the road
I found love I've never known
A place where time moves slow
And if you paint it in a portrait
You'd have a postcard of a picture perfect life
Oh paint it boys

Many years later, I can't hate her
Sometimes life gets messy
I can't count all the blessings
The lessons I have learned along the way
'Cause I'm out here with my band of brothers
Bringing our music to the people
If you paint it in a portrait
You'd have a postcard of a picture perfect life

A snapshot from the road
Where you have the room to grow
The place that feeds you soul
You could paint it in a portrait
You'd have a postcard of a picture perfect life
If you paint it in a portrait
A postcard of a picture perfect life
