Benny Johnson denounces the normalization of political violence by the Left
During a conference in Washington, conservative communicator and commentator Benny Johnson delivered a powerful and emotional speech that has resonated across the nation. With a mix of indignation, sorrow, and determination, Johnson denounced the wave of political violence promoted and tolerated by radical sectors of the American Left, stating that what was once considered extremism has now become a normalized practice within the Democratic Party.
His words, spoken before an audience that fell into complete silence for several minutes, served as a painful reminder of how ideological hatred has taken lives, destroyed families, and threatened the fundamental values upon which the United States was founded.
A recount of horror: murders and recent political attacks
Benny Johnson began his speech recounting some of the most violent episodes that, in his view, reflect the moral and political deterioration of the country.
“Exactly one month ago, I witnessed a dear friend of ten years —someone I considered a brother— being murdered live on air by a left-wing radical,” he said with a trembling voice.
He then recalled an even more shocking event: the assassination attempt against President Donald J. Trump, which took place a year ago, when the then-President was shot in the head by a left-wing extremist. In that same attack —Johnson recalled— a Trump supporter was also murdered “in front of his daughters and his wife.”
The commentator continued with a tragic timeline: Christian children murdered while praying in church, federal agents shot by snipers, and multiple personal death threats he himself has received. “The man who wrote to me detailed how he planned to kill me for being white, Christian, and a Trump voter. He described exactly how much blood would pour from my head, and how my wife would be left a widow and my children orphans,” Johnson revealed.
“This is no longer extremism—it’s the everyday reality”
Johnson’s intention was not only to raise awareness but to deliver a direct and forceful accusation: “Violence has been normalized by the Democratic Party.”
He explained that the Left has gone from condemning violent acts to justifying, celebrating, or ignoring them—especially when the victims are conservatives.
“You could say, ‘Just another left-wing radical.’ But if this happens every week, is it really still extremism? Or has the Democratic Party normalized it as a political tool?” he asked the audience. His remarks sparked a standing ovation and quickly went viral on social media, where thousands praised his courage for saying “what many are afraid to say.”
The Virginia case: a political warning
In one of the most alarming parts of his speech, Johnson referred to the state of Virginia, where, he claimed, Democrats have nominated a man who publicly called for the murder of Republicans and even referred to conservatives’ children as “little fascists.”
“That individual is about to become the state’s top law enforcement official,” Johnson warned, emphasizing that such nominations are not only dangerous but represent an unprecedented ethical collapse in American politics.
He urged citizens to stand firm against radicalization and defend liberty, family, and faith as the pillars of the nation.
“We cannot allow fear to become the political language of the United States. If we give in to hatred, we lose what makes us American,” he declared firmly.
Context and repercussions
Johnson’s statements come at a time of escalating political tension in the country, as President Donald Trump, now in his second term, seeks to restore internal order and strengthen laws against domestic terrorism.
Conservative analysts have pointed out that violent attacks carried out by left-wing extremists have increased over the past two years, particularly targeting Republican supporters, Christian churches, and law enforcement officers. What were once considered isolated incidents are now viewed as part of a disturbing trend linked to the rhetoric of hatred spreading among progressive sectors.
Several figures close to the White House have publicly supported Johnson’s remarks, calling them “a necessary warning to rescue the values of Western civilization.”
Conclusion: a call to restore unity and justice
Benny Johnson concluded his speech with a message of hope and resilience:
“We will not let hatred define who we are. We are one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
His address, more than a personal testimony, has become a symbol of the conservative movement’s call to restore social peace, mutual respect, and truth in the face of the divisive narratives promoted by political extremism.
In a nation scarred by violence and deep ideological wounds, Johnson’s voice stands as a clear warning: violence is not politics — it is the very denial of democracy.
